Guided Tour (Dutch): Armin Mueller-Stahl
Born in Tilsit/East Prussia in 1930, the painter, musician and actor Armin Mueller-Stahl is an exceptional figure in 21st-century art, thanks to the versatility of his artistic expressions. In his diverse artistic activities, the artist's biography plays a prominent role: encounters in the German Democratic Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States of America have shaped the artist's life. Armin Mueller-Stahl's artistic oeuvre includes numerous paintings, drawings, lithographs, etchings, and screen prints.
Museum Schloss Moyland is dedicating a solo exhibition to the artist, in collaboration with the Kunsthalle Emden and the Kunst- und Kulturstiftung Opelvillen Rüsselsheim, in honour of his multifaceted oeuvre. The aim of the exhibition is to showcase the artist's personality and work through a number of exemplary themes and work blocks. In addition to the artist's often very political works, the exhibition also features numerous impressions from his film and acting work.
The public guided tour invites visitors to discover this multifaceted artistic cosmos and to get to know Mueller-Stahl's various forms of expression in the exciting interplay between biography and work.
