Guided tours: Brigitte Waldach Exhibition (October 2026-February 2027)
Dates (at 2 p.m. each, approx. one hour) from October 2026 to February 2027
The Berlin-based artist Brigitte Waldach (born 1966, Berlin) is known for her large-format, detailed drawings with textual and figurative motifs, as well as for her expansive installations. Her oeuvre contains numerous references to music, language, politics, philosophy, and the history of Germany and Europe. In autumn 2026, Museum Schloss Moyland invites her to engage in a research-based exchange with the iconic work of Joseph Beuys, of which Museum Schloss Moyland holds around 6,000 artworks and an extensive archive. Like Beuys, Waldach also develops artistic theory and practice in the conceptual synthesis of drawing, language, and thought.
The series of artists in dialogue with Joseph Beuys finds continuity and further development here. Unlike previous variations of this format, Waldach, like Beuys, represents a heightened interest in the medium of drawing. In this way, Beuys' delicate, early drawings receive a new reflection from the perspective of the contemporary artist. As with previous exhibitions in this series, new works will be commissioned and produced.
Cost: €4 per person, reduced €3*.
