Director's Tour (German): Armin Mueller-Stahl

Artistic Director Dr. Antje-Britt Mählmann will lead a tour through the exhibition. Afterwards, a complimentary drink at the Bar Mezzogiorno invites guests to end the afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere.

Born in Tilsit/East Prussia in 1930, painter, musician, and actor Armin Mueller-Stahl represents an exceptional phenomenon in 21st-century art due to the multifaceted nature of his artistic expressions. The artist's biography plays a prominent role in his various artistic activities: encounters in the German Democratic Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States of America shape the artist's life. Armin Mueller-Stahl's artistic oeuvre, thus grown, encompasses numerous paintings, drawings, lithographs, etchings, and screen prints.

Museum Schloss Moyland dedicates a solo exhibition to the artist, in cooperation with Kunsthalle Emden and the Kunst- und Kulturstiftung Opelvillen Rüsselsheim, to honor his multifaceted oeuvre. The exhibition aims to present the artist's personality and his work through selected thematic and work blocks. In addition to the artist's often highly political works, numerous impressions of his cinematic and acting creations will be on display in the exhibition.
