Interactive Tour for Children Ages 3-6 - Armin Mueller-Stahl
Armin-Müller-Stahl Night and Day on Earth - Participatory tour for children aged 3-6
Children aged 3 to 6, together with their adults, will discover the Armin-Müller Stahl exhibition in a playful and child-friendly way. We will use elements of yoga with family-friendly asanas and a lot of imagination to explore a different key theme of the exhibition each time.
Theme on July 5, 2026, from 2 PM to 3 PM: Journey of Movement into the Artist's Studio
First, we fly to America to the artist's studio. There we explore what it feels like to be a painter. With our bodies, we then paint our own pictures.
Theme on August 2, 2026, from 11 AM to 12 PM: Day and Night
How do we distinguish day and night in the exhibition's paintings? Which colors match them and, above all, which movements? We'll try it out and playfully embark on a journey through day and night.
Theme on September 6, 2026, from 11 AM to 12 PM: Narrow Brush – Wide Brush
The paintings feature many thin lines, but also large areas. These contrasts create tension. Children and adults paint in a duet, once with a narrow brush and once with a wide brush – creating a collaborative picture.
Cost: €5 plus museum admission (free admission up to 18 years)
The ticket for the guided tour does not include the museum entrance ticket.
You can order it here.
About the exhibition:
Born in Tilsit/East Prussia in 1930, the painter, musician, and actor Armin Mueller-Stahl is an exceptional figure in 21st-century art due to the multifaceted nature of his artistic expression. The artist's biography plays a prominent role in his various artistic activities: encounters in the German Democratic Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States of America have shaped the artist's life. Armin Mueller-Stahl's artistic oeuvre, which has developed in this way, includes numerous paintings, drawings, lithographs, etchings, and screen prints.
Museum Schloss Moyland is dedicating a solo exhibition to the artist, in cooperation with the Kunsthalle Emden and the Kunst- und Kulturstiftung Opelvillen Rüsselsheim, in recognition of his multifaceted oeuvre. The aim of the exhibition is to present the artist's personality and work based on a selection of exemplary thematic and work blocks. In addition to the artist's often highly political works, numerous impressions of his cinematic and acting work will be on display in the exhibition.
