Keychain "Felt Suit by Joseph Beuys"
The artist Joseph Beuys often worked with felt in his art, and the Felt Suit is one of his most famous works, as it is not a unique piece but rather widely distributed:
In 1970, the Felt Suit was released as a "Multiple," a limited and numbered edition of 110 copies, which are now preserved in renowned art collections worldwide.
Joseph Beuys considered felt to be an insulator and heat accumulator, and thus also a catalyst for creativity. Beuys saw his Felt Suit as "an object that one should precisely not wear." Nevertheless, he once wore it himself during an action in November 1970 at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf.
The Museum Schloss Moyland also owns an examplar of the Felt Suit in its extensive Beuys collection, which is regularly shown in exhibitions.
Not without irony, we have had a miniature version of the life-size Felt Suit produced exclusively for the Moylandshop as a pliable keyring.
